2019 WordCamp Europe Works to Empower Future Developers

This year’s WordCamp Europe is putting on a focus on the future of WordPress by holding a session for kids to create their own sites.

This will be on top of the regular childcare services during the conference.

The kids’ workshop will take place on the 20th of June during Contributor Day and is open to all 8-14-year-olds. You can register your child here.

According to organizers, “This workshop will be run by Petya Raykovska, a Senior Project Manager at Human Made, who has spent more than 10 years managing and creating websites and is experienced in leading WordPress workshops for children and young people since 2016 in locations all over the world.”

The three-hour workshop is completely free and comes with light snacks and refreshments. Parents just need to provide children with a laptop, charger, notepad, and pencil.

The workshop will give kids a very practical skill that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. It’s a great opportunity to empower the next generation of WordPressers, bringing the platform one step closer to taking over the rest of the web.
