One of the first things you can do for that is to do proper market research. This will give you a good understanding of the people you are trying to appeal to. Knowing that will also inform your branding, which is another prerequisite for a content style guide, so start there.

2. State Your Blogging Philosophy

A good place to talk about your audience is to have a blogging philosophy section in your style guide where you talk about who your readers are and what your goal is in regards to them.
